I started my career as a Mechanical Engineer at Spire Machining on a work experience programme. From my hardworking ethic I was offered an apprenticeship, which involved, engineering components for large agricultural machinery, brake mechanisms for public service trains, delivery of manufactured goods and the operation of a CNC computer. From here, I have always pursued ways to improve my experience, knowledge, and learnings through certifications to ample my progression and make a positive impact within companies.

From there i fell into hotels where I worked up from maintenance assistant to engineer, supervisor and then assistant manager.

I moved to Irelands largest hotel group- Dalata Hotel Group in 2021 as a Maintenance manager. Within, this time I have achieved many goals including Manager of the Quarter, Manager of the Year and furthermore, promoted to Cluster Maintenance Manager since 2024. As Cluster Maintenance Manager I handle two entities which have a combined room total of 466 and revenue of £12.5m. I currently report into the Group Maintenance Manager.

I have then become Chief Engineer at The Medlock by Radisson Blu Where I am to build an efficient team and department to run and maintain to a high standard of the 401 bedroom Medlock hotel.
